Fashion Academy has a history
of 14 years in the field
of technical training, hi-tech
services and industrial
consultancy. Sapphire Fashion
Academy has so for involved
in training very new technologies

like CAD (Computer Aided
Designing), textile designing
in the computer software,
dyeing and printing training
and merchandising and garment
production technologies
starting from 1994 to 2000.
Sapphire Fashion Academy
flouted sophisticated CAD
training centre called Pearl
CAD. For these 5 years CAD
technology used for designing
the pattern for fashion
garments, using CAD to design
the layout for fabric cutting
are teached in this institution.
Textile designing courses
aided in the computer software
are also taught job works
were undertaken are allotted
to the students as real
time training.

2000 Sapphire Fashion Academy
joined hands with SIHMA
(South Indian Hosiery Manufacturers
Association) and their members
industries and started a
new industry orientation
program. This program has

on emerging technologies
in garmenting fabric management,
Merchandising, International
business systems and marketing
by very practical diploma

Mr.V.Sekar

and Mr. Palaniswamy in fine
tuning Sapphire Fashion Academy
as a leading institute of
fashion technology. The principle
promoter of this academy,
V. Sekar is a post graduate
in management. He has the
experience of coordinating
one of the very popular training
institutes in Tirupur for
the past eight years. He has
a close relationship with
leading industry associations,
Government bodies in the field
of textiles and has the exposure
to the international apparel
business environment. He is
a trained Indo-European cross
cultural program trainer.
Specialised merchandising
programs and the concept of
business information centre
are some of his contribution
to the industry. He is also
a specialist in CAD. The co-promoter,
S.R.Kennedy is an engineering
graduate in Textile Technology.
He has experience in dyeing
and garment manufacturing.
Today, he is a visiting faculty
in a leading industry related

Knitting and Textile machinery
Works (Knitmac), a knitting
machine manufacturing unit,
and M.P.Shan Tex Private Limited,
a leading knitting and processing
house, apart from being a
garment manufacturer. The
managing director of Knitmac,
K. Palanisamy is one of the
basic brains behind this concept.
